ELECTRIC JALABA (Morocco/UK) – a real staple festival act on the UK and Europe for years, EJ are increasingly much more than the slick fusion of their origin. Their new music maintains the buzzing dance spirit, but with further exploration and boundary pushing of the trance and spiritual jazz elements of the sound.

Electric Jalaba began their journey exploring the entrancing overlap between electronic dance music and traditional Moroccan gnawa. The band have since found their own hypnotizing, electrifying and truly floor-filling sound, and they continue to explore this healing musical interface both in performance and on record. Their recorded music has become more considered, contemplative, but without losing it’s muscular commitment to making you move. Performing live their skills are now well honed, and with lead singer Simo Lagnawi at the helm they know exactly how to draw a crowd in, and uplift them.
